Pilates for Dancers MOT
A focused 1:1 session for professional and pre-professional dancers.
Targeted support for the demands of training, rehearsal, performance and audition periods.
Your body is your instrument — whether you’re in training or already working.
Vocational training is intense.
Professional contracts are unpredictable.
Audition seasons are demanding.
Small imbalances can quickly become overload patterns when rehearsal hours increase.
The Pilates for Dancers MOT is a short, focused 1:1 session designed to support your body in its current phase — whether you’re preparing for the profession or already working within it.
What is the MOT?
The MOT (Movement & Performance Check) is a 45–55 minute individual Pilates session that:
- Assesses how you are currently moving
- Identifies areas of compensation or instability
- Improves control, strength and articulation
- Gives you practical tools you can apply immediately in class or rehearsal
It is not a long-term contract.
It is a precise, dancer-specific intervention.
Who it’s for
This session is suitable for:
- Professional ballet and contemporary dancers
- Musical theatre performers
- Freelance artists managing variable rehearsal loads
- Students in full-time vocational training
- Dancers preparing for auditions or assessments
If you’re entering a new rehearsal period, increasing training hours, preparing for auditions, returning from time off, or noticing recurring overload, this session provides clarity and direction.
How the session works
Rapid intake (5–7 minutes)
We focus on 3–5 key exercises specific to your body and your current demands. The aim is precision, not volume.
Clear takeaways
You leave with 2–3 exercises to repeat independently, clear class or rehearsal cues, and a practical next-step suggestion (if appropriate). You should leave feeling more organised, more supported, and clearer about how to manage your load.
Why book a MOT now?
Rehearsal loads change quickly.
Whether you’re entering a new contract, preparing for auditions, increasing training hours, or noticing recurring overload, the MOT gives you:
- Clear insight into how you’re currently moving
- Targeted exercises you can apply immediately
- A simple plan to support your next training or rehearsal period
This is practical, dancer-specific conditioning — not generic fitness.
